Nova F - pulp for fiber cement and filters
Nova F is an unbleached kraft pulp (UKP) for fiber cement and filtration applications. Made at our Enocell Production Unit in Finland from responsibly sourced pine and spruce, it combines long, stiff fibers with high purity for strength, good formation, and reliable porosity.
Nova F is engineered for performance
Nova F offers proven technical advantages. Its fiber profile, with fiber length greater than 2.3mm*, ensures even distribution in cement and stable porousness in filter media. The high purity of the Nova pulps means fewer contaminants and smoother processing. The consistent quality from our Enocell Production Unit in Finland guarantees dependable results every time.
Sustainable, high purity kraft pulp from Nordic wood
Nova F combines strength with responsibility. Produced from certified Nordic wood, it offers a carbon footprint about 30% lower than bleached kraft pulp and meets leading eco-label standards. Talc-free and food-contact approved**, Nova F helps customers meet environmental goals without sacrificing performance.
Nova F is produced at Stora Enso’s Enocell Production Unit using clean freshwater and advanced technology. Every fiber is fully traceable to sustainably managed forests, and recent investments in washing and screening have further improved product purity and hence quality. The result: a consistent, high-quality pulp that supports demanding applications like fiber cement and filtration—while doing good for the planet.
* Method used for measurement: Online MAP HD.
** All our Nova products are talc free and compliant with European and US food contact legislation. Also all Novas comply with compostability standard EN13432.

Responsible fiber sourcing
All Stora Enso kraft pulp grades – bleached and unbleached – come from traceable sources and sustainably managed forests, available with FSC®*** and PEFC™ chain-of-custody certification. Full traceability from forest to fiber ensures our customers can produce certified, renewable and eco-labelled products with confidence.
In the Nordics, our production units use pine and spruce from privately owned forests where growth exceeds harvesting. Each harvested area is regenerated, securing the long-term availability of renewable raw material.
As a global sustainability leader, Stora Enso continues to set ambitious environmental and social targets, advancing a more circular bioeconomy.
